It is estimated that there is approximately 35 Boss Mustangs and 40 Shelby's in New Zealand. If you own a Boss Mustang and would like it to be included in the list please email us and we will add it to the register.

1969 Boss 429 - Wal's
Big Boss. VIN: 9F02Z198748. Manufactured by Kar Kraft May 1969 and sold by Berge Ford Mesa, Phoenix Arizona, Aug 69. In mid 1970 was sold to Glen and Cristina Skumlein , who fitted exhaust headers and other minor modifications, and undertook some amateur drag racing. In Jan 1980 the engine was removed for a recondition. In May 1980 the car was sold at 55,000 miles to Mike Flanagan also of Mesa Arizona. The motor collapsed a piston soon after and Mike undertook a major end to end mechanical rebuild of the engine, clutch gearbox and diff. Over the subsequent 23 years Mike ran up only 5,000 miles, ran the car in a SSCC race meeting, and continued to restore the car including new suspension components, brakes radiator etc. In April 2003 the car was purchased by Wal Marshall and shipped to NZ. Current mileage 62,000 miles. Presently fitted with a 3.0 cruising diff for club events, and recently dynoed at 370bhp. Car has now been sold and in currently in Australia.

| 1971 Boss 351 Mustang VIN 1F02R189257 Sold Brand new at Jacobsen Ford Sales, Sturgis, South Dekota. Believed to have sat on the Ford Dealership for 2 years unsold while still Brand New. Sold to a person in Pomona,CA and Drag raced though the 70's. Has USA drag race history. Sold to Gerry Friedrichs, Santa Ana, CA in the late 80's with the engine an trans missing, Friedrichs collected the required Boss engine and other parts over the years but never done anything further. Purchased from Friedrichs by Dale Mathers, and shipped too Tauranga, New Zealand in April 1997. Took Mathers 2 years to buy this Boss from Friedrichs, it still had its original paint, Interior, Carpets, etc and was basically untouched other than its drag race modifications. Factory Grabber Yellow, Black Standard interior, only came with 3 factory options,1-Sport deck rear seat, 2-AM Radio, 3- Tinted Glass. All original panels. Restored by Coastline Automotive in 1997, Currently owned by Bruce Dreadon, Paeroa, New Zealand

| 1970 Boss 302 Mustang VIN 0F02G123052 Imported into New Zealand Nov 1995 by Dale Mathers, Tauranga, NZ. Purchased Via Rex Kelland, Modesto, CA. San Jose Ordering District. Sold Brand New by Jim Souza at Escalon Ford, Escalon,CA. First owner in Stockton,CA. Second owner Manteca,CA then sold to D Mathers and shipped by Boat to New Zealand. A light restoration by D Mathers in 1996. Correct Lime Metallic Paint and Medium Ivy Interior. Comes with 17 Factory options and still has its correct Engine, Transmission, Rear End. Still has all original Sheet metal, carpets, seat covers, etc, other than 1 repaint this Boss is very correct. Currently owned by Nick Hall, Hamilton, NZ

| 70 Boss 302 Mustang VIN 0F02G188125 First imported into New Zealand in July 1987 and registered in the name of Gregory Cory, Northcote, Auckland. Believed to have been imported by John Glover, Auckland, NZ while he was working in Okalahoma,USA. Mileage not recorded. Currently has had 5 owners with the last odometer reading been 46268 miles.This Boss has a front mounted factory oil cooler, Non Shaker, and is factory grabber orange with white standard interior. The third owner found the correct matching numbers Toploader Trans that was missing and refitted this back into the car in the early 90's, Unsure if it still has the original Engine Block. | 70 Boss 429 Mustang VIN 0F02Z121703. KK2224 Manufactured by Kar Kraft in 1969, Waiting for further details and Marti Report. This Boss 429 was purchased at the Turlock Swap Meet, CA, August 2002 by Rex Kelland, Modesto, CA for the Late Gary Rorison with only 8000 miles on the Speedo. It was been sold by Mark Capps of Fresno, CA on behalf of the owner who had been working in Alaska for many years. It had Alaska Licence plates due to the owners Fairbanks,Alaska address for insurance and registration purposes, it has never been to Alaska, then owner was Larry Harikian. Car had been in storage for many years, not sure how long Harikian had owned this car. KK2224 was purchased with a Holman/Moody 427 Side Oiler Engine and Richmond 5 speed transmission, Traction Bars, Rear Electric Fuel pump and other drag race items. Drag Race history unknown. A correct Boss 429 engine was purchased in Escalon, CA with a Vin stamping 0F130756 and a Boss 429 transmission with a Vin 505396. Car was shipped to New Zealand April 2003 and a restoration was done by Coastline Automotive and completed July 2006. Currently owned by the Rorison Family Trust, Tauranga, NZ

| 70 Boss 429 Mustang NASCAR # KK2457 Boss 429 KK2457 was imported to NZ in 1996. A full rotisserie body restoration was done by Magoo Hot Rodding. KK2457 was purchased by the current owner Gary McNeill of Dunedin in 2004 who has been fully restoring KK2457 to a concourse classification, right down to the original paint stick inspection marking, detailed undercarriage and Polyglas tyres etc. KK2457 was missing many Boss 429 parts when purchased, however Gary has painfully located and purchased all original or NOS, date correct parts and the original vinned block was source from the original owner of KK2457, along with other parts (the find of the century). KK2457 is Calypso Coral with deluxe black interior. KK2457 is still under restoration, and now just waiting for the engine to be installed. KK2457 has a full Marti Report, stating it is 1 of 76 in Calypso Coral and 1 of 1 boss 429's shipped to Salt Lake City, Utah (DSO). KK2457 was drag raced competitively for 2 years (1970 to 1972) and has been parked up ever since. KK2457 still has its original "build sheet", "Buck tag" and "invoice". | 67 Shelby GT 500 Mustang VIN 67402F8U00638 Sold Brand new to Hoffman Plumbing, Redwood City, CA via Hayward Motors, the area High Performance Ford Dealer on the 6th October 1967. Second owner also was in the San Francisco Bay Area, Third owner Bruce Stambaugh, Modesto, CA purchased this Shelby in 1971, the original engine died in the mid 70's and Stambaugh replaced the 428 engine with a brand new K-code 289 engine and drove it this way until 2003. He then acquired all the correct parts to rebuild a 428 Shelby engine, removed the 289 and refitted the 428 along with the twin 4 barrels, etc. Rex Kelland, Modesto, CA managed to prise this Shelby from Stambaugh hands for Coastline Automotive, NZ, this took some doing as Stambaugh had owned this Shelby for so long it was like losing an arm. Shelby was shipped to NZ mid 2004 and minor work undertaken to make it drivable. Currently owned by the Rorison Family Trust, Tauranga, NZ
